The crimes against humanity that are being committed by this dictatorship cannot be ignored when every facet of the society has been entrenched in decades of corruption and greed, imposed ignorance, repression and social injustice and inequality. When threatened, the dictatorship only increases its ruthlessness, aiming to shatter the human spirit and cause for change.  This is one of those decisive moments in life, a moment when what’s at stake transcends the fate of one nation or one moment in history.
